Vision Board

Tory Johnson challenged us as to the WHY of our business.  I was going to make a traditional collage of my “why” but was having all sorts of technical issues so I finally resorted to what I know best which is to do it as a web page.  Since Down Home Mom exists to help moms who want or have their own businesses, it is a good fit for the site anyway.

Here are the reasons I have always wanted to start my own business:

No More                                                             Sick                                                      Freedom

Paycheck                                                          Of                                                           To

To                                                                        Survival                                               Give

Paycheck                                                          Mode                                                     To Others

And now I want to relate a short story.  My Grandma became suddenly ill back in February.  She was told she had about three weeks to live.   At the time, I did not have the money to travel from Oklahoma to California and be with her in her final days.

I was able to go to the funeral only because of the compassion of other family members.  I really appreciated that they helped me. Really! But, I want to be the one who is always in the position to help others.

As a result, I told myself, “I WILL SUCCEED SO I AM NEVER, EVER IN THIS POSITION AGAIN.  I CAN CHANGE THIS, IT IS WITHIN MY GRASP.”  And it is.. and I am :)

#4 So I can spend time with loved ones who live a distance away.

#5 And last but not least.  Life is too short to spend it doing something you hate and something that limits your lifestyle, paycheck and destiny!
